While parking was a bit of a challenge due to narrow roads, Sonja, our attentive host, organized a great parking spot for us-her hospitality certainly stands out. The accommodation is a cozy, refurbished stone home with tasteful decor, comfortable beds, and spotlessly clean bathrooms. Though lacking air conditioning, it remains pleasantly quiet, a welcome retreat after our bustling time in Lisbon. The breakfast is generous, blending southern and northern European styles, ensuring you won't leave hungry. For value-minded travelers, the location near the Passadico do Paiva and 516 Arouca Bridge offers an exquisite nature experience without the cost of luxury accommodations. It's a worthwhile choice for history enthusiasts like myself looking for authenticity in their travels.
